Kelli L. Miller, Associate, Doban Architecture
Kelli has more than seven years of architectural experience and brings to the firm extensive design and management experience on both public and private projects, including renovation, restoration, and new construction. She is also a decorative painter with more than fifteen years of experience, designing, painting or printing custom textiles and decorative finishes. This special expertise informs her work and sharpens her eye for detail on projects of all types.
She has worked on the design of a wide range of projects, from high end residential through complex institutional projects. She has recently been responsible for design and management of two residential projects involving custom furnishings, as well as interior projects for Monroe College, including the finishes and details for their new, 25 million mixed use facility which includes a cafeteria, classrooms, and dormitories on a .75 acre site in downtown New Rochelle.
Kelli has been a key part of many successful capital improvement projects for the New York City School Construction Authority, including the design of an accessibility project at PS 225K in Brooklyn, the parapet upgrade at PS 255K, Brooklyn, and the design of a playground at PS 102K in Brooklyn as part of PlaNYC.
Ms. Miller previously worked at the University of Louisville where she was co-editor-in-chief of the Parnassuss Art Historic Journal and promoted publicity and outreach. Her duties involved editing incoming articles, production management and journal layout. She received her Masters of Art History degree in 1999 from the University of Louisville and became a teaching assistant the following two years in the Department of Art History at the University of Washington.
